Today marks the very first Alpha Delta Kappa blog post! I hope you all enjoy! There will be a weekly blog overviewing what we have accomplished or discussed that week, & I would love some input. Maybe something that especially touched you that week or just a loving word for your sisters! You can comment below I believe.
Okay so here we go: last week was an eventful one for ADK & I am exceedingly proud of all of us Alpha Delts! There was a DBU carnival where we had our booth of face painting & games, & then the movie night on Friday. The carnival overall, & our booth, was a success so once again a huge thank-you to those of you who offered your time and support! Also on Friday a few ladies went to Ronald McDonald House to put on a movie night. The adorable kids that attended were very enthused to see you all and had a magical time watching Princess & the Frog! Of course, thanks to you precious sisters as well!
On Saturday, ADK woke up bright and early for our Walkathon at our gorgeous location: White Rock Lake. While walking (okay sometimes dancing or skipping) 3 miles we raised about $1,000 for Ronald McDonald House through our donations and support letters! That's incredible girls! God will use our donation to His perfect glory and bless the lives of others! Everyone who attended, once again, thank-you; and special appreciation to Abbey Elkins for her enormous work towards this event. I mean.....we rockin' ADK fitness ;-)
After a productive weekend we met at the usual spot at 9PM and got to see Lindsay Rose, our marvelous sponsor and friend. Kaley Blahnik was crowned "Babe of the Week". Congrats you little blonde, tan, sassa-frass! We appreciate your commitment, pizazz, and unique style you have brought to ADK! Rep that status this week, "babe".
This Monday will be our last chapter meeting of the year. *tear, tear* Be at the Ebby with dues, your speeches, and smiling faces at 8PM. We will be rapping up the Diamond Year with a bang. Love you all!
Heart,
AlphaDeltaKappaGirl. you know you love me.xoxo<333
